Thiruvananthapuram: A youth narrowly escaped after slipping in a waterfall while taking a selfie in Idukki, Kerala on Saturday.
A video footage of the incident has gone viral.
Four youths, hailing from Madurai in Tamil Nadu, were taking selfies at the Thooval waterfalls in Idukki when one of them lost his balance and fell into the water.
However, he somehow managed to hold on to a rock by the time others arrived with some locals and managed to rescue him using rope.
Local people have alleged that though tourists were are not to venture into risky areas, many people don't pay any heed to the warnings.
