P B Abdul Razak, the MLA from Manjeshwar in Kasaragod district, passed away early morning on Saturday at a private hospital in Kasaragod. He was undergoing treatment for heart-related issues.
Razaq was the representative from Manjeshwar in the Kerala Assembly since 2011. He was a member of the national executive of the Muslim League (IUML).
Razaq started his political activism from the Youth League, the youth wing of the IUML, and had become president of the Chenkala Grama Panchayat as well as Kasaragod district Panchayat.
In 2016, he defeated BJP's K Surendran by 89 votes for the Manjeshwar Assembly seat.
