13 died after a heavy landslide occurred on the Reckong Peo-Shimla highway in Kinnaur district of Hi,machal Pradesh. According to the HP-State Emergency Operation Centre, 13 persons have been rescued safely so far and sent to CHC-Bhawanagar for medical treatment. Traffic movement on NH-5 has not yet resumed. An NDRF team is engaged in search and rescue operations. The incident took place on August 11. More details are awaited.
