Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad on Wednesday indicated he may plough a lonely furrow with the much-hyped Janata Parivar merger talks making little headway.

“Even if no one joins hands with me, I will wage a battle (against BJP) on my own,” said a miffed Lalu, in an apparent dig at his foe-turned-friend Nitish Kumar.

Lalu is reportedly not happy with the contradictory stand taken by Nitish. The latest development to annoy the RJD chief is Nitish’s decision to back AAP instead of Congress, whom Lalu will be supporting and campaigning for in Delhi polls.

“Besides, we have decided to undertake Raj Bhavan march on March 15 to expose the failures and false promises made by Narendra Modi government,” said Lalu here on Wednesday, indicating that once he is free, he would devote  time to revive the morale of party cadres. He, however, remained non-committal on whether the merger of erstwhile Janata Dal constituents would formalise. “Those who want to come, can come. Or else, just go away,” he said.
