Four compartments of a local train derailed near Mahim on the Harbour line on Friday.

So far, there has not been report of any casualties.

The train was going from Andheri to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.

The Harbour line connects the Western Railway to Central Railway - and the rail traffic was affected on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Indian Railway officials said that the causes of derailment would be probed.

Top officials and rescue and relief equipments have reached the site and efforts are underway to restore the operations.
