"I want to say very clearly that you cannot compare the Karnataka case with our case. In our case, Lokayukta's observation is that you said something which probably you are not fulfilling," Dikshit said when asked about BJP trying to draw parallel between the two cases.

Claiming that she did not misrepresent anything, Dikshit said every political party makes such announcements in the election manifesto and her government was determined to provide flats to the poor people.

"Ours was not a corruption case. You cannot equate corruption with an intention to do something. We said we will give houses to economically weaker section. We are working on it," the Chief Minister said.

The Karnataka Lokayukta has indicted Yeddyurappa in a "huge racket" of illegal mining and found that his sons got kickbacks of Rs 30 crores from a mining firm.

In Dikshit's case, the city Lokayukta held that ahead of 2008 assembly polls, she misrepresented to the public that 60,000 flats were ready for handing over knowing well that the same were not ready, in order to "obtain gain or favour to herself or her political party".
