The Shiv Sena on Friday released its first list of 21 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. The candidates for Palghar-ST and Satara seats would be announced later.
Union minister for heavy industries and public enterprise Anant Geete would contest from Raigad. As per the seat-sharing arrangement, Sena will contest 23 seats as against alliance partner BJP's 25.
From Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg, sitting MP Vinayak Raut would contest and take on the Narayan Rane family in the Konkan belt. The only woman to have been fielded is Bhawana Gawali from Yavatmal-Washim.
In Mumbai, all three candidates would be repeated.
Arvind Sawant would contest again from Mumbai South; MPs Rahul Shewale and Gajanan Kirtikar would contest polls from Mumbai South Central and Mumbai North West respectively.
Lingayat leader Chandrakant Khaire has been renominated from Aurangabad.
