Former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday while replying to media on his future role said he would rather die than demand for anything more from the party.
"The BJP has given me everything and now it is my turn to repay it. BJP is working on a mission of nation building and I am always available and prepared to do my bit as party worker," he added.
Chouhan expressed satisfaction over the performance and progress of MP during his tenure while addressing the media at his official residence at Shyamla Hills in Bhopal on Tuesday.
In his farewell speech Chouhan said the overall growth trajectory of his government including welfare schemes for weaker sections, infrastructure projects, human development, industrial growth, education sector etc reflected a bullish trend adding to his satisfaction.
"The BJP government under my regime worked tirelessly towards growth of agriculture sectors and women empowerment and yielded satisfactory dividends."
He complimented all the stakeholders including bureaucrats who worked day and night to prepare and deliver the benefits of flagship scheme 'Ladli Behna' within timeline.
"I worked with the fullest of my energy. The scheme 'Ladli Behna' will transform to Lakhpati Behna in future. I would personally love to work for betterment of environment by sapling/planting as many trees as possible on government land/projects," added Chouhan
The new BJP government under Mohan Yadav will carry on with the pace of development to take the state to new heights. He extended good wishes to newly appointed 2 deputy CMs Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda and speaker Narendra Singh Tomar.
