Mumbai: Once an admirer of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) founder-president Raj Thackeray has rattled the BJP after he mapped the pan-India foot-print of the Gautam Adani-led Adani Group from 2014-2025.

The three brief presentations through videos by Raj at the historic Shivaji Park in Mumbai about the footprint of the Adani Group in India, Maharashtra and Mumbai Metropolitan Region has gone viral on social media platforms.

Besides, Raj has also posted the three videos - ‘Bharatat Adani’ (Adani in India), ‘Maharashtrat Adani’ (Adani in Maharashtra) and Mumbai Mahanagar Kshetrat Adani (Adani in MMR) - has got considerable traction on social media platforms.

"In just 11 years from 2014 to 2025, with the government's blessings, the Adani Group has spread across the country at such a pace and is steadily creating monopolies in various sectors,” wrote Raj.

In the past few years, the way the Adani Group has been expanding—be it the power sector, ports, airports, or anything else—nearly every sector in the state is being handed over to the Adani Group... If we, as Marathi people, don't look at the expansion of this single industrial group with seriousness today, then inch by inch of land in this state will go to this one industrial group alone,” pointed out Raj.

On MMR, Raj said, “…check out the expansion of the Adani Group in the MMR. Some forces are still angry that Mumbai went to Maharashtra instead of Gujarat and they are now trying to gain control over Mumbai and MMR through this group.”

While leaders from the Opposition camps including leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Shiv Sena (UBT) head and former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has been targeting the Adani Group over the years, Raj’s fierce attack comes in the run up to the crucial polls to BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), which runs the civic body of India’s financial capital.
