Mumbai: In a sensational development in the Beed sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh murder case, social activist and anti-corruption crusader Anjali Damania has claimed that the three wanted accused might have been killed and their bodies were found along the Maharashtra-Karnataka border.

“I have received a phone call on WhatsApp about this…I have passed on the information to the Beed police…how much it is true or false, I am not aware…I have informed the Superintendent of Police and he must have checked,” she said.

Reacting to the statement, Beed NCP (SP) MP Bajrang Sonawane said that the statement is shocking. “It is shocking…if such a thing has happened, it is very serious…where is the police…the police should look into it,” he said.

However, Ausa BJP MLA Suresh Dhas said: “All three would be found along with their ‘aka’” - a reference to Walmik Karad, the close aide of NCP minister Dhananjay Munde.
