On the other hand deputy chief ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar would be the guardian ministers of the respective home districts of Thane and Pune.

Besides Thane, Shinde would also look after the Mumbai City district.

On the other hand, Pawar would look after the affairs of Beed district.

NCP's Dhananjay Munde, who was under fire over the Beed sarpanch murder case and the arrest of his aide Valmik Karad in a Rs 2 crore extortion case, has been excluded from the list of guardian ministers.

For the first time, Mumbai Suburban district will have two guardian ministers - Ashish Shelar and Mangal Prabhat Lodha.

BJP’s Chandrashekhar Bawankule would be in-charge of Nagpur and Amravati.
