Mumbai: Day after American carmaker and clean energy company Tesla made its formal entry in India, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his close aide and state Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik took a test drive of the iconic car on Wednesday.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the first Tesla Experience Centre at the Bandra-Kurla Complex on Tuesday in presence of Sarnaik.
“Shinde personally tested Tesla's electric car at the Vidhan Bhavan premises. I also had the opportunity to sit in the Tesla car during this test and experience cutting-edge technology,” Sarnaik said.
“Considering its speed, stability, zero pollution, and futuristic vision, this car can truly be called a revolution in the mobility sector. It represents the resolve of a new Maharashtra, striving towards eco-friendly, advanced, and globally innovative technology,” he said.
