Mumbai: At least five persons were killed and 27 others injured after a private luxury bus carrying a marriage party overturned in the Tamhini Ghat section in the Raigad district.
The bus was heading to Birwadi in Mahad from Lohegaon in Pune district with a wedding party.
Those killed include three women and two men.
The deceased were identified as Sangeeta Jadhav, Shilpa Pawar, Vandana Jadhav, Gaurav Darade and an unidentified male.
The bus driver lost control of the wheel at a sharp bend, causing the vehicle to overturn, the police said.
The injured persons have been taken to local hospital in Mangaon.
