Mumbai: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has achieved a momentous milestone by securing the LEAPS-2024 Award in the Institutions: Education and Skill Development in the Logistics Sector category.
Standing first among 3 participants, the institute has further cemented its leadership in logistics education and skill development.
The award was presented to Professor Manoj Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai by Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, and Textiles.
The LEAPS-2024 (Logistics Excellence, Advancement & Performance Shield) initiative recognizes exceptional contributions and innovations within the logistics ecosystem, spotlighting MSMEs, startups, and key enablers who demonstrate transformative practices and significant impact.
In conjunction with the award, the much-anticipated Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) Report 2024 will be unveiled.
This annual assessment by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the National Logistics Policy, 2022 provides a strategic roadmap for enhancing logistics performance across India.
“As logistics becomes increasingly pivotal to India's economic progress, IIM Mumbai remains dedicated to aligning our efforts with emerging trends like digital transformation, sustainability, and capacity building to empower a future-ready workforce,” said Prof Tiwari.
