The accused, who is an English teacher, is a married woman and has two children.

She has been booked under charges of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, a gender-neutral law.

She also faces charges under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act and Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.

The accused has reportedly told police that she got attracted to the teenager, then a Class XI student,  during various meetings to set up a dance group for the annual school function in December 2023.

She also made sexual gestures to the student in January 2024.

The Dadar police station has registered an FIR, which is investigating the case.

The police are probing whether the accused arrested other students as well.

According to the initial investigations, the accused allegedly lured him during dance rehearsals and took him to luxury hotels after giving him alcohol.

However, the boy fell into depression - as it continued several times.

The teacher also involved a female friend, who told the minor that relationships between older women and teenage boys were "common" and that he and the teacher were "made for each other”.

The student fell into depression after having passed his exams. He left school earlier in 2025, however, matters worsened when the teacher again tried to contact him.

The boy confided the issue with the family and approached the police.
