Mumbai: The BJP may retain the Home and Revenue ministries in Maharashtra and allocate the Urban Development to Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Finance to Ajit Pawar-headed NCP as the Devendra Fadnavis-headed Maha Yuti government is set to undertake its first ministry expansion and allocate portfolios.

Fadnavis was sworn in as the Chief Minister on December 5 along with two Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar by Governor CP Radhakrishnan.

On Sunday, the council of ministers would be administered oath of office and secrecy at Nagpur on the eve of the winter session of Maharashtra legislature.

The list of Cabinet Ministers and Ministers of State are yet to be finalised and would be given final touches on Sunday morning.

According to the latest available information, the BJP would get Home, Revenue, Water Resources, Rural Development, Agriculture, Social Justice and OBC Welfare.

The Shiv Sena may get Urban Development, Industries, Excise, Public Works, Water Supply, Transport and Sanitation.

The NCP is likely to get Finance, Food and Civil Supplies, Housing, and Cooperation.

During the swearing in ceremony in Nagpur, around 30 Cabinet ministers are expected to be administered the oath of office and secrecy.

As far as the total strength of the ministry is concerned, the government can have 43 ministers - 15 per cent of the total strength of the 288-member Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

Principally, the three parties have agreed on a formula of BJP (21), Shiv Sena (12) and NCP (10) ratio in the ministry.

The BJP ministerial probables include Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Girish Mahajan, Pankaja Munde, Chandrashekar Bawankule, Ashish Shelar, Rahul Kul, Ganesh Naik and Shivendra Raje Bhosale.

The Shiv Sena list includes Sanjay Shirsat, Gulabrao Patil, Shambhuraj Desai, Bharat Gogawale, Tanaji Sawant, Nilesh Rane, Ashish Jaiswal.

The NCP aspirants are Chhagan Bhujbal, Aditi Tatkare, Dhananjay Munde, Anil Patil, Ashish Jaiswal, Dharmarajbaba Atram.
