Devendra Fadnavis meeting Klaus Schwab

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Klaus Schwab, the founder and chairman of the World Economic Forum, in Davos.
During the meeting, they discussed various topics such as green energy, electric vehicles, and the latest developments in the industrial sector. Schwab also extended his best wishes for Maharashtra's growth.
The Maharashtra Pavilion in Davos is now ready, and over the next two days, there will be a series of events and record-breaking agreements, officials said on Tuesday.
The state government will also hold meetings with various companies.
Fadnavis had previously met Schwab in Mumbai on September 12 during Ganeshotsav, where they participated in Ganesh Aarti together. This moment was also recalled during their current meeting.
The inauguration of the Maharashtra Pavilion will see the presence of several Union ministers and Chief Ministers from other states.
Fadnavis also met Frank-Jürgen Richter, the chairman of Horasis. Richter, who is a former director of the World Economic Forum, proposed organizing a global business conference in Mumbai.
The conference would focus on new technology and innovation. There was also initial discussion about establishing Horasis' headquarters in Mumbai.
