Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar died on Wednesday after a plane carrying him crashed in Baramati, PTI reported citing officials.
All other people on board the plane were also killed in the crash. There is no clarity yet on the number of people who were on the plane.
The aircraft had taken off from Mumbai and crashed while attempting to land in Baramati. Pawar was scheduled to address four rallies ahead of zilla parishad and panchayat samiti elections.
