The accused, Mohit Virendra Singh, a resident of Ulwe, had befriended the woman and allegedly sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions since February, an official said.

He said Singh also allegedly forced the woman to terminate a pregnancy and shot objectionable photos and videos of her.

The accused also got her to sign a joint affidavit of marriage, and he allegedly told her that since he had "married" her, she could not file a case against him, the official said.

Singh has been booked under sections 64, 64(2)(d) (rape), 69 (sexual intercourse by employing deceitful means, etc.), 75 (Sexual harassment), 89 (causing miscarriage without woman's consent) and other relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, he said.
