As a precautionary measure, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was deployed along the Indrayani River, Alandi Devachi, Pune because of  large gathering for Ashadhi procession.

For the next 24 hours, a red alert was sounded in the Pune Ghat area because of the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall. Amid the incessant rain in the city and upstream of the Mutha River raising the level in the Khadakwasla Dam, the Pune civic body will be releasing water from the dam. Waterlogging was reported around the Hinjewadi IT Park area.

In Raigad, the Pali-Wakan road has been closed to traffic due to the rising water level of the Amba River.

In view of the extremely heavy rainfall warning, schools and colleges in several parts of Raigad district—including Alibag, Roha, Tala, Mahad, and Poladpur—have been closed.

The district administration issued the directive after the Kundalika River near Roha reached warning levels due to rains. Strong winds and further heavy showers are expected.

In Nashik, the Godavari River was flowing with full force - as several temples came under the water in the Ramkund area. In the temple town of Trimbakeshwar, there was heavy rainfall.

The Mumbai twin districts of Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburban and neighbouring districts of Palghar, Thane and Raigad too received good rainfall.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted active monsoon conditions across the state from June 19 to June 22. Due to cyclonic wind systems and the strengthening monsoon, various regions—including Konkan, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha—are likely to receive rainfall of varying intensities.

Mumbai Police chief Deven Bharti in a message said: “With the city under heavy rains, your safety is our utmost concern.  Please step out with caution, follow official alerts, and report any emergencies to official helplines, 100, 112, 103.  Our teams are on ground 24x7 to ensure your safety  Stay alert & stay safe!”
