On December 9, Wagh (55), during his morning walk was bundled into a SUV near Shewalewadi Chowk in Hadapsar area of Pune city. He was found murdered in Yavat on the Pune-Solapur Highway a day after.

In the next few days, four persons have been arrested - Pawan Sharma, Navnath Gursale, Vikas Shinde and Aatish Jadhav.

On Wednesday, Mohini (48) was arrested by the police.

It emerged that the incident was a fallout of her extra-marital relationship with the couple's former tenant Akshay Jawalkar (29).

"We have evidence of her involvement in the murder," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade.

During investigations, it has come to light that the Jawalkar family were tenants of Waghs for several years and it is during this period the relationship between Mohini and Akshay developed.

Wagh, however, came to know about it and the Jawalkar family moved out from the rented place.

However, Mohini and Akshay continued to be in touch over phone.

It was Mohini who instigated Akshay to eliminate Wagh, who in turn gave a Rs five lakh supari to four others.
