Mumbai: Amid the criticism of Ajit Pawar by Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi as “permanent Deputy Chief Minister,” Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday asserted that the NCP President would become the chief minister of Maharashtra one day.
The 65-year-old Pawar is a six-term Deputy CM.
"You are called permanent Deputy CM (by the MVA)… but my best wishes are with Ajit Dada... you will be CM someday,” Fadnavis said in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
"Ajit Dada starts earlier in the morning since he is an early riser, I am duty from 12 noon to midnight while throughout the night…you all know who," Fadnavis said in what was a reference to Deputy CM and Shiv Sena chief leader Eknath Shinde.
