The incident took place on August 2 around 3 pm after a group of passengers were caught travelling in a first-class coach while they were holding a second-class ticket.

One of the passengers was found having no ticket at all for travelling between Andheri and Borivali.

Following protocol, the three passengers were asked to de-board at Borivali and taken to the ticket collector's office where the situation escalated.

One of the passengers who can be seen wearing a yellow kurta, became violent, allegedly attacked railway staff and also damaged government property including computers, CPUs, monitors, keyboards, etc.

Railway staff including Deputy Chief Ticket Inspector Shamsher Ibrahim suffered injuries due to the scuffle.

The woman who appeared to be travelling along with the violent man seemed to be shaken from the incident. The man in the video was seen comforting her briefly, but continued to hurl objects across the room.

Later when the situation came under control, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) handed over the man along with the other passengers to the Government Railway Police (GRP) for further action.
