Last week, Ambedkar wrote a letter, and since no reply was received, he issued a video statement on Monday.

“I wrote the letter to raise the serious concern of the variation in the provisional voter turnout and the final data in the recently-concluded Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha elections,” he said.

The three questions that Ambedkar asked are the time it takes for a voter to cast his/her/their vote; whether the District Election Officer/Returning Officer and the Supervisor recorded the number of votes polled between1700 hrs to 1800 hrs on 20 November, and if so, the details thereof.

Another crucial question that he asked was whether the District Election Officer/Returning Officer recorded the number of tokens issued to voters standing in queue at 1759 hrs on November 20, and if so, the details thereof.

"It is important that our questions are answered and our concerns are addressed as they will appreciate the depreciated and shaken faith in the electoral process and conduct of the Election Commission of India,” he said.

“A total of 75 lakh votes have been cast after 1700 hrs. Voting time is officially till 1800 hrs. Are tokens distributed at each booth after 1800 hrs ? If they were distributed, how much was distributed? We have asked for the data for each constituency,” he asked and sought to know the details of the videography done.
