Saif Ali Khan who was attacked in his home in Mumbai's Bandra on January 16, during an attempted robbery and sustained multiple stab wounds has now been discharged from the Lilavati Hospital.
However, concern for Khan's safety and that of his family has mounted in recent days especially since the intruder managed to breach the already present security and reach the 12-floor of the actor's house.
In light of recent events, Khan has hired Ace Security and Protection, owned by a well-known Bollywood actor Ronit Roy, reported Times Entertainment.
Ronit Roy himself is a prominent actor and has done several roles in both television and films. His prominent works include Udaan, Student of the Year and Adaalt.
Roy is the owner of "Ace Security and Protection" agency. His agency is known for providing security to celebrities.
Ace Security and Protection noticed that there is a gap in providing protection to celebrities and this gap itself can prove to be very dangerous.
According to a report by Republic, Roy's company provides security to actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar.
CCTV cameras were also installed in and around Khan's home for extra protection.
Police arrested the attacker, identified as Bangladeshi national Shareeful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, for stabbing Khan.
A court remanded the accused to five-day police custody after observing that the police's contention of an international conspiracy cannot be ruled out.
