Mumbai: At least seven women were killed after a tractor trolley accidentally fell in a well in the Alegaon village in the Nanded district of Maharashtra on Friday.

At least 11 women farm labourers were on board the trolley, reports reaching here said.

The trolley was heading for Gunjgaon on Hingoli district.

The Limbgaon police station has registered a case.

More casualties have not been filed out.

Three women have been rescued safely.

The Resident Deputy Collector and Additional Superintendent of Police are at the spot, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said after reviewing the situation.

Fadnavis announced an ex-gratia of Rs five lakh to the next of kin of the deceased.

The deceased were aged 18-35.
