The incident took place on Saturday morning at Shastrinagar Chowk in the Yerwada area.

Pune-based social activist and RTI resource person Vijay Kumbhar released a series of videos of the incident .

The video showed that the accused, who traveling in a BMW with a friend, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

He suddenly stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road and urinated in public view.

The accused was identified as Gaurav Ahuja, the son of prominent restaurant owner Manoj Ahuja.

Another man was seated next to him in the car and was seen holding a liquor bottle.

The incident was captured by locals on mobile phones who alerted the police.

“The government is very serious and the government will take very strict action. Such incidents would not be tolerated,” Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said.

“The spoiled, drunk sons of wealthy families in Pune have turned the city into their personal playground of terror. Armed with their father's wealth and influence, they believe they are above the law — driving recklessly in luxury cars, intimidating ordinary citizens, and creating public nuisance without any fear of consequences,” Kumbhar said.

“Absolute Filth in Pune on Women's Day! Who drinks alcohol at 8 AM? Who urinates in public in front of women, making obscene gestures? Who allows their bar to breed such degenerates?

"One of them shamelessly urinated in public in front of women while making vulgar gestures, and the other, sitting casually in the front seat, held a liquor bottle and watched the show like it was a joke,” he said.

“His father now pretends to disown him publicly, saying ," I am ashamed to call him my son; he spat on my dignity. But what about the bar his father owns that clearly enables such degeneracy? What about the car registered in his father's name that was used in this disgusting act?,” asked Kumbhar.
