Coldplay fans in India were thrilled after the announcement of the band performing in two states: Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
Amidst the struggles of being able to buy tickets for the concert, a lucky but not so lucky fan shared a heartbreaking incident on social media.
Prachi Singh posted on her Instagram account that she had purchased two tickets for the show. However, while she was leaving her home, she realised her maid threw the ticket bands away in the garbage while cleaning.
"Yess so this disaster happened. Yesterday we got two Coldplay tickets and they were kept in a wrapper on dining table. Today we got ready, driver was waiting and while leaving we couldn’t find the bands," she wrote in the caption.
"Our maid said ki woh toh safai mai phek diye (she threw them away while cleaning)," she wrote.
Further she mentioned how the people in her building help her in the search and checked all the garbage, but could not find the tickets.
The video since posted has garnered over 6 million views and a flurry of comments, many sympathising with her.
"Whattt noooo," a user commented.
Another user commented, "Congratulations! You can now enjoy the show without getting stuck in Mumbai traffic."
"Oh no... Game over," commented a third.
Meanwhile, Coldplay's first concert in India in nine years was nothing short of a cultural celebration where the band's frontman Chris Martin captivated the audience with his humour and curiosity. Chris also gave a shout out to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
In the video circulating online, Martin can be heard saying "Shah Rukh Khan forever" on the stage before beginning his next song amid cheers from concert-goers.
There were plenty of unforgettable moments that resonated deeply with fans at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium where Coldplay kick-started their Music of the Spheres World Tour in India.
For two hours at the packed stadium, Martin belted out chartbuster tracks like Paradise, Viva La Vida, Adventure of a Lifetime, Yellow, Fix You, and A Sky Full of Stars, among others.
