Worse, after praising Modi, Maj Gen Singha requested his government to provide land for Army housing colonies. Stung by criticism from various quarters, the Army high command has asked Maj Gen Singha clarify. Sources said based on the explanation, action would be taken.
At the inaugural session of the function, ‘Know Your Army,’ Maj Gen Singha had said that Modi is like an Army commander who sets a deadline for himself and completes the work within the deadline. “The statement has been made in his personal capacity. If he indeed said so, its inappropriate,” said an officer.
