A lady doctor was seriously injured after an angry husband shot her, following the death of his wife during delivery at the former's hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district, about 450 kilometers from here.
According to reports, the lady doctor, identified as Dr Munesh Tomar, a leading gynaecologist of Meerut town, was admitted to the hospital. The alleged accused, identified as Babuddin, was thrashed by the hospital staff, suffered serious injuries and is stated to be critical.
Reports said that Babuddin's wife, who had been admitted to Dr. Tomar's hospital a few days back, died while giving birth on Friday.
