Man slapped with Rs 5.1lakh fine for killing blue bull

Anil Arya killed a blue bull while he was speeding in the reserve in July in Dudhwa-Chandan area. Field Director Shailesh Prasad said that Arya was found guilty of violating speed norms inside the protected zone, which resulted in animal casualty.

During the probe, Arya confessed following which he was fined with Rs 5.1 lakh, which he deposited yesterday. This is the  biggest-ever monetary fine on any in Uttar Pradesh for such a crime, forest officials claimed.
