Based on documents seized from Kondala Reddy’s locations, police conducted raids in a house in Paidiparru village near Tanuku of West Godavari district and recovered large number of grenade spare-parts, rocket launchers and other items, Andhra Pradesh DGP R R Girish Kumar said. With the recovery of such a huge dump, a disaster has been averted to general public as well as armed forces and political targets, the top cop said adding the spare parts can be assembled into 3,000 grenades.
Kondal Reddy was an expert in making country-made firearms besides being instrumental in manufacture and transportation of weapons, the DGP explained.
