A formal announcement of the elected candidates will be made on June 3. Principal Secretary (Assembly) Pradeep Kumar Dubey said that only 13 candidates have filed their papers till the date .
All the candidates would be elected unopposed if their papers were found in order during the scrutiny, provided they do not withdraw from the contest.
Those expected to be elected unopposed are Mayawati, Satish Chandra Jatav, Rishipal, Ram Kumar Kuriel, Subodh Parashar, Mohammad A Khan, Lalchand Nishad and Virendra Kumar Chauhan (all BSP), Balram Yadav, Ram Sunder Das Nishad and Yashwant Singh (all Samajwadi Party), Hridya Narain Dikshit (BJP) and Naseeb Pathan (Congress).
