The incident took place in Bhavan (Zachildara) village, 80 km from here, in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
“Militants forced their entry into the house of Lassa Dar last evening as Dar and his 30-year-old son, Manzoor Ahmad, were having dinner," a senior police officer told IANS.
“Militants sprayed bullets from their automatic weapons, killing the father and son on the spot."
Senior police officers have rushed to the spot and police have registered a case of murder.
