The family members of the girl alleged that the girl had been raped before being murdered and her body was hanged from the tree to make it look like a suicide.
Police here said that the girl had been missing since Friday evening. ``She had gone out with the cattle and did not return home...her body was later found hanging from the tree'', they said.
The SHO, two SIs and seven constables deployed at the police station had been placed under suspension with immediate effect, officials said.
A magisterial inquiry would be conducted into the matter, police sources here said adding that the post-mortem of the girl had been conducted by a panel of doctors. ``The role of the policemen deployed at the police station will also be probed'', the officials said.
The police station building was under construction, they said adding that the family of the victim nearby the building.
