New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government will introduce two 'One Nation, One Election' Bills in the Lok Sabha on Monday, December 16.

Law Minister Arjun Meghwal will introduce The Constitution (129th Amendment) Bill, 2024 and The Union Territories Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024 after 12 noon.

The two proposed legislations to enable simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and Assemblies provide for a "midterm" polls for Parliament or a state in case a government falls but it will only be for the "unexpired" portion of the five-year fixed term.
