Mumbai reports over 6,000 new Covid-19 casesOn Saturday, the state recorded 35,726 cases and 166 deaths

Pressure seems to be building up on Maharashtra's public health infrastructure as the total Covid-19 active cases crossed the 3-lakh mark in the state on Saturday.

During the day, while Mumbai crossed the 6,000 mark, the larger Mumbai Metropolitan Region recorded over 10,000 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

On Saturday, the state recorded 35,726 cases and 166 deaths taking the progressive total to 26,73,461 and 54,073, respectively. The financial capital of Mumbai recorded 6,130 cases while the MMR 10,638.

The total active cases stand at 3,03,475 of which 76,490 are in the MMR districts of Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, Thane, Palghar and Raigad.
