In a move that surprised many, a website called zikilove announced a relationship insurance policy. A social media post of a man explaining the policy has gone viral. The insurance policy claims to offer a unique coverage plan that allows couples to bet on the longevity of their relationship.

A reel posted by the Instagram creator zikiguy states, “If you think you have found your soulmate, just invest X amount every year for 5 years and if you end up getting married, we will give you 10 times your investment.” The reel went on to say that if the couple breaks up, they get nothing.

The reel also claims that the zikilove app will “predict relationship loyalty based on multiple data points like text frequency, shared Spotify playlists, Netflix watchtime and more.” The reel stated that this will be a game changer for the way relationships work.

The reason behind this move seems to stem from the increasing lack of commitment in today’s relationships. The reel’s opening statement says, “In this era of situationships and hookups, it's really hard to find true love.”

The reel gathered a multitude of reactions on the internet, with some viewing it as a fun and innovative concept and others considering it a cynical bet on the success of a relationship.

A user commented, calling the initiative the “best investment ever” while another user joked and asked if they can get a reward after getting married, then mutually distribute the reward money with the partner and undo the marriage. A third user commented saying that the creator is about to become the next big entrepreneur with this app.

Despite the buzz created around the insurance policy, it should be noted that the creator posted this on his Instagram on April Fool’s Day and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
