The Hyderabad MP and president of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) Asaduddin Owaisi asserted that there was no way Muslims would flee the country, but rather stay back and fight for their Constitutional rights.

He was reacting to the raging political storm over Aamir Khan’s comments on rising intolerance in the country. “There is no question of Muslims leaving the country,” Owaisi, a three-time MP, told reporters here on Wednesday. He was responding to a query on the controversy over Aamir Khan. “We are Indians not just by birth but by choice too. I want to make it clear that Muslims will not leave the country come what may. Muslim citizens in the country have been witness to several adversities” the MP said.
