He was 62 and is survived by wife, one son and three daughters. Pradhan, who was admitted to the intensive care unit of Apollo Hospital here on October 5, breathed his last around 3 am, hospital sources said.
However, alleging negligence in treatment, Guru Pradhan’s disciples and admirers ransacked the hospital. Complaint and a counter complaint was lodged at the Saheed Nagar police station here by the hospital authorities and the maestro’s family, police said.
Two platoons (about 60 personnel) of police force was deployed near Guru Pradhan’s residence in the city as tension mounted after police picked up seven of his disciples on charges of vandalism at the hospital.
