One more nabbed in uranium seizure case

 The man identified as Sipatar Yadav (34) allegedly gave uranium to the three arrested earlier on December 7, they said. Yadav was arrested on December 11, they said.
The trio — Premsingh Savitri (40), Srinivas Poryar (37) and Tulsidas Bhanushali (39) were  produced before Panvel Judicial Magistrate, First Class, who remanded them in police custody till December 17.

Premsingh was held in Panvel while Srinivas and Tulsidas were arrested from Vashi in Navi Mumbai and Ghatkopar in north-east Mumbai.
The accused have been arrested under section 24(1)(a) of Atomic Energy Act for illegally possessing uranium. Possessing such material without a licence from the Union Government is in contravention of Atomic Energy Act, which prescribes punishment of five years or fine or both.
