Lucknow: Wife of Shubham Dwivedi, a Kanpur based businessman, who was among the 26 tourists killed in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, hailed the strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and said that her husband would have got ‘real peace’ as his killing had been avenged.
‘’Shubham now must be in peace wherever he is.....I was certain that the killings would be avenged,’’ Shubham’s wife Ashanya said.
"I want to thank Prime Minister Modi, ministers and chiefs of armed forces, including Air Force and Army Chief General, for taking revenge for my husband's death in the Pahalgam terror attack," said added.
She said that the strikes were aptly named as ‘Operation Sindoor’.
Ashanya said that she and other members of her family remained glued to the TV set throughout the night as soon as they got the news of strikes on the terror camps in Pakistan.
‘’We kept praying for our soldiers who were involved in this Operation throughout the night...India has proved that it can act decisively against terrorism,’’ she added.
Shubham was asked his name before being shot in the head from point blank range before his wife by the terrorists.
Shubham, who got married on February 12 this year, had gone to Kashmir with his wife and other family members. They were scheduled to return to Delhi the next day. His family members said that the Shubham’s wife pleaded with the terrorists to spare her husband but they did not show any mercy. The terrified wife fainted after Shubham was shot dead.
