The assault on filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and vandalisation of the sets of his film ‘Padmavati’ was on Tuesday raised in the Rajya Sabha.

Samajwadi Party MP and actor Jaya Bachchan said that “creativity has become a soft target” for anti-social elements.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Jaya said there has been “growing intolerance” in the country and a “selected few” who assume that they represent the masses and “under certain political patronage” have started taking law and order in their hands.
