Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been adjourned till tomorrow following an uproar by Opposition MPs over rising fuel prices and farmers' issue. The opposition's persistent protest over rising fuel prices led to the adjournment of both Houses of Parliament without transacting any legislative business on Monday. Both Houses met for the first time in the second part of the Budget Session and saw repeated adjournments as the Opposition continued protests.

Parliament's budget session is likely to be shortened by two weeks before voters in Assam and West Bengal cast their votes in the first phase of elections on March 27.
