Parliament LIVE | PM Modi, Amit Shah meet President Murmu separately
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday called on President Droupadi Murmu separately within hours at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here.
The meetings came against the backdrop of the logjam in Parliament over the Opposition's demand for a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar ahead of the assembly elections in the state. Except discussions in both Houses on Operation Sindoor, Parliament has seen little business ever since the Monsoon session began on July 21. (PTI)

Ruling Congress workers from Telangana will leave in a special train from here on August 4 to participate in a protest in New Delhi, led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on August 6, demanding Presidential assent for the Backward Classes reservation bills passed by the state legislature.
On August 5, party MPs will move an adjournment motion in Parliament to demand a debate on the BC quota bills. (PTI)

The government is likely to push its legislative agenda in Parliament this week ignoring Opposition protests, as the deadline for seeking extension of President's Rule in ethnic-violence hit Manipur beyond August 12 is coming close.
The statutory resolution to extend President's Rule in Manipur with effect from August 13, which was passed by Lok Sabha last week, has been listed for discussion in Rajya Sabha on Monday.
