Uttama Prajakeeya Party Davangere Unit floated by actor Upendra, has uploaded the video of 13 seconds on its facebook page. But it does not mention the day or the context, the minister reportedly made such remarks. 

Reacting to it, the minister on Tuesday during a press conference claimed that he has no idea of actor Upendra's case. But he has not made any comment that would insult any community. "I had only stated that don't make it dirty and it has been misinterpreted."

In renewable push, Centre to launch 10,000 new electric buses across 100 cities

During a briefing on Union Cabinet briefing on renewable energy, Union Minsiter Anurag Thakur says, "PM E-Bus Seva has been given approval. Rs 77,613 crores will be spent. Around 10,000 new electric buses will be provided across the country."

Thakur adds, "Out of Rs 57,613 crores, Rs 20,000 crores will be provided by the Central government. The scheme will cover cities with 3 lakhs and above population. Under this scheme, city bus operations with 10,000 e-buses on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model will be done. This scheme will support bus operations for 10 years."

The PM, in the Union Cabinet meeting today, approved the ‘PM Vishwakarma’ scheme to support those skilled in traditional craftsmanship. Under this scheme, loans up to Rs 1 lakh will be provided on liberal terms: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

IAF preparing for 'Tarang Shakti' with Air Forces from friendly nations

The multi-national exercise Tarang Shakti is being planned by the IAF, which will include Air Forces from friendly foreign countries. The exercise, which had originally been planned for the latter part of this year, has been rescheduled to next year, to better align with the schedules of the participating friendly foreign countries and to ensure maximum participation. This would also enable the inclusion of certain Air Forces who have evinced an interest in the exercise: Defence officials. (ANI)

Shimla: "More damages have occurred during August 13,14 and 15 than in July... the death toll is 71 and there has been a loss of Rs 7,500 Crore, this estimate could increase because now people are involved in rescue and relief works and a detailed estimate will take time.
