Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday called up BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput and inquired about their health after they were admitted to RML Hospital following injuries they sustained during protests outside the Parliament, news agency ANI reported.
The BJP MPs suffered injuries during a clash between NDA and I.N.D.I.A. bloc MPs at Makar Dwar amid protests over Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks on B R Ambedkar.
RML MS Dr Ajay Shukla told ANI, "He (PM called up) and inquired of the condition of both MPs. He spoke with both of them...He tried to make them understand to not worry and that they would be fine...They seem to be better now. Tests are being done..."
MP Pratap Sarangi alleged that he suffered injuries due to LoP Rahul Gandhi pushing an MP, who fell on him.
Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Pralhad Joshi also met Sarangi and Rajput at the hospital.
