The day after “Operation Sindoor”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting with the secretaries of government departments and ministries on Thursday and called for “fool-proof functioning” of essential systems.

The meeting — which the Cabinet secretary, senior PMO officials, and secretaries from key ministries, including Defence, Home Affairs, External Affairs, Information & Broadcasting, Power, Health, and Telecommunications, attended — reviewed national preparedness and inter-ministerial coordination in light of recent developments concerning national security.

The issues discussed included the strengthening of civil defence mechanisms, efforts to counter misinformation and fake news, and ensuring the security of critical infrastructure, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.
