Prime Minister Narendra Modi will set his foot in the Arab world on August 16-17, the first time since assuming office in May last year.

The prime minister will visit Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during his two-day trip. He is the first Indian premier to visit the UAE after Indira Gandhi, who went there in 1981.

Modi will meet UAE Prime Minister Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Abu Dhabi on August 16. He is also likely to call on UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nayhan, sources in New Delhi told Deccan Herald.
