Mumbai's Malad Police on Saturday arrested musician Pritam Chakraborty's office boy in a case of theft of Rs 40 lakh from the music director's office.
He was arrested from Jammu & Kashmir and 95 per cent of the stolen cash has been recovered.
The accused has been identified as Ashish Bootiram Sayal (32) who allegedly stole a bag with Rs 40 lakh earlier this month from the studio on the pretext of delivering goods to Pritam Chakraborty's house and then absconded.
The robbery took place on February 4 around 2 pm at Pritam Chakraborty’s music studio, Unimus Record Pvt. Ltd, which is located in Goregaon.
After registering the case, Malad Police investigated 150 to 200 CCTV cameras, ANI quoted the Mumbai Police as saying.
